Description Blackketter Dean 2006-09-10 16:53:21 UTC
Transporter can be used as a standalone digital-to-analog converter using the digital inputs. When connected to slimserver or squeezenetwork, these inputs should appear as a virtual song or radio station. The user interface should provide a short list of inputs in a submenu under Transporter Home.

Transporter Home
Digital Inputs

Pressing right on this selection should take to a list:

Digital Inputs (1 of 4)
Optical S/PDIF (TOSLINK)

Digital Inputs (2 of 4)
RCA Coax S/PDIF

Digital Inputs (3 of 4)
BNC Coax S/PDIF

Digital Inputs (4 of 4)
Balanced AES/EBU

Pressing PLAY or ADD on any of these should put a special URL on the playlist as appropriate: source:toslink, source:rca-spdif, source:bnc-spdif, source:aes-ebu

A url handler should then send the appropriate slimproto commands to the player to switch to this input and the appropriate name should appear under Now Playing for it.

Additionally, there should be a similar list available under Browse on the SlimServer web interface.

This should also work when connected to SqueezeNetwork.

One more note, the song info for this URL should allow you to add this to your favorites, etc...
