Change 9574 (which is working beautifully elsewhere) doesn't affect the sort order in Browse Years.

This does not appear to be an issue with 6.5b2

I am able to reproduce this.  Changing sort order doesn't affect an album list after descnding from browse years.  The DescendAlbum function in ResultSet::Year doesn't handle the $sort param.

Changing version, since this appears in 6.5.x.  I'll leave it to someone at SD to decide the priority and whether the target should be left at 7.0.

If you are still seeing this bug, please re-open it and we will consider it for a future release.
