Description Vidur Apparao 2004-06-26 09:03:32 UTC
The convert command logic that's in Source.pm only applies to local content.
Seems like we should be able to fairly easily apply it to remote streams. That
would let us play ogg and wma content available via HTTP without too much effort.

I think Dan Sully was working on a rewrite of Source.pm that would allow streams
to be converted. I'm not sure how much is complete at this time.

Dan, I'm planning on adding this to the 5.3 list. Can I reassign to you?
Comment 3 Dan Sully 2004-06-29 14:01:32 UTC
Yes, that's fine. The new Format code is coming along.
Comment 4 Dan Sully 2004-12-03 10:04:43 UTC
Vidur reworked the source framework to allow for forked command streaming.
