Description Ari Pollak 2004-06-25 22:59:02 UTC
In SlimServer 5.1, I used to be able to use an HTTP proxy in XMMS to listen to a
SlimServer stream. But with the last few versions, including 5.2, XMMS can
connect to the server but no audio is played, and the title of the currently
playing song just seems to flicker.

Ari: what HTTP proxy is running on your network? Does that proxy work with other streaming stations?
Comment 2 Ari Pollak 2004-06-26 13:26:13 UTC
The proxy is currently running squid 2.4.STABLE4, and it does work with any
Shoutcast station I try. I think xmms might only do HTTP/1.0 over a proxy, but
I'm not sure.

Ari, can you turn on --d_http and attach the output when attempting to stream
through the proxy?
Comment 4 Ari Pollak 2004-08-12 20:49:49 UTC
apparently this disappeared. closing bug.

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
