(reference tmid 8434)

User has WMA files with multiple artists listed in tags. But Slimserver only lists the first entry, even if you add the appropriate separator to "Multiple Artist in Tags" setting in Server Settings > Behavior.

Example--

In the attached file, that tags I'm seeing are as follows:

 * Artist = Miles Davis [tp];Hank Mobley [ts];Wynton Kelly [p];Paul Chambers [b];Jimmy Cobb [d]
 * Album Artist = Miles Davis (1926-91)
 * Composer = Miles Davis (1926-91)

In 6.3.1, all that shows up is Miles Davis [tp] & Miles Davis (1926-91)

In 6.5, all that shows up is Miles Davis (1926-91), which after some testing appears to be the Album Artist. If I edit "Album Artist" and add names to it separated by semi-colons, they show up appropriately in Slimserver.

I guess the question becomes: How is Slimserver supposed to be reading/handling "Artist" and "Composer" tags?

Sidenote: in one tag editor the separator within the Artist tag appears as a semi-colon (;) while in another tag editor it appears as a double slash (\\)

This is the correct behavior.

If an Album Artist is specified, that artist will show up in the artist list, and as the Album's primary contributor.

If you drill down to the track level, all the artists are shown.

This behavior was at the bequest of many users.
