Description Philip Meyer 2006-08-25 00:22:34 UTC
I notice that where I have tagged songs with multiple genre tags, the genres appear
twice when browsing by genre.

ie. I have many artists/albums listed when I browse the first occurrance of "Genres / Pop",
as the associated tracks are only tagged with that one genre. But I also have a duplicate
"Pop" genre (on the bottom of the sorted genre list) that only has one artist/album associated
with it. The tracks have two genres "Pop" and "Live".

Philip, would it be possible for you to attach one of your affected files?

When I view Song Info via Slimserver, it correctly displays
Genre: Live Pop

Phil - _where_ do you get all these wonderful files? :)

That specific file is my wifes. I'm at fault for any tagging issues though :-)
I use mp3Tag to enter multiple genres using <genre1>\\<genre2>> which automatically splits
the entry into two separate GENRE tags. It's always worked in the past.
