Description Kevin Pearsall 2006-08-16 15:05:12 UTC
very enigmatic--difficult, nigh impossible to reproduce.

have queried engineering to see if a unit in a failed state may help us diagnose the issue.
Comment 1 Chris Owens 2007-10-15 16:39:30 UTC
cc'ing Dan Evans so he can keep an eye out for this issue and update the bug if it is a problem or there are changes worth noting.
Comment 2 Ross Levine 2008-04-03 14:15:00 UTC
Dan support is tracking this right? Could you share some metrics if you get a chance? I take it there have been reports on firmware since 59, right?
Comment 3 Dan Evans 2008-04-07 13:11:50 UTC
Counting from Jan 1, 2008 to present, here is what we know:

 * 9 cases specifically coded as Xilinx caused issues
 * 46 cases coded as "distorted audio" or "no audio" (meaning possible Xilinx issues)
Comment 4 Chris Owens 2008-06-03 15:37:40 UTC
Dean wants to talk to Sean about it
Comment 5 Chris Owens 2008-06-04 15:17:36 UTC
Sadly there doesn't seem to be a good way to validate the xilinx image. Just as easy to reprogram the xilinx every boot.
Comment 6 Chris Owens 2008-11-10 09:51:58 UTC
Dan, how highly should we prioritize this, do you think?
Comment 7 Mickey Gee 2008-11-10 14:09:07 UTC
Let's continue to monitor, although changes in Xilinx area are unlikely.

Comment 8 Dan Evans 2008-11-18 11:05:09 UTC
I'm gathering data from our Tier-1 group and will have a report at end of November. Let's review this bug then.
Comment 9 Chris Owens 2009-10-07 08:28:09 UTC
Ping Dan. :)
Comment 10 Dan Evans 2009-10-07 16:57:20 UTC
I think this is fading away. Possibly because SB Classic sales are sun-setting. I suggest close this and we'll reopen if it becomes urgent. (closing as wontfix)
