This is the best way I can summaries. Initially I had set up the passphrase using the remote with no trouble. It had a type, so I was trying to go back to edit using the knob. On a couple of characters, when I touched the knob to adjust the character, it would jump to seemingly a random character, or perhaps just scanning really fast. I'm not completely sure, but it felt like it also reacted this when when I pressed the knob to move to the next character.

I have fixed a couple of knob issues in firwmare 7 that might cause the problem you are describing. Can you please see if if this is any better for you know. Cheers.

Seemed ok in the passphrase now. However, I'm not finding that the demag is causing the menu to change at Select a Source. If I use the remote to get to "connect to squeezenetwork", I hear the demag and at the same time it will sometimes change to "enter address of slimserver". It doesn't seem to find my server automatically, btw.

I have changed the two position switch slightly in firmware 8. Let me know if this is better.
