Description Dan Evans 2006-08-11 15:45:17 UTC
(reference tmid 7818)
When I check the default RSS feeds within the slimserver itself they appear perfectly correct; but when I look at them on the squeezebox I am getting the following errors: for each RSS feed, "%2$s -- %3$s	%2$s -- %3$s %2$s -- %3$s"
Comment 1 Dan Evans 2006-08-11 15:47:15 UTC
I confirmed this by connecting to infrant3 and running the RSS Screensaver. I'm seeing the same output: "%2$s - %3$s" listed three times.
Comment 2 Andy Grundman 2006-08-12 05:09:55 UTC
This looks like a broken sprintf. What version of Perl is running on the Infrant? Does it only happen in screensaver mode?
Comment 3 Chris Owens 2006-08-14 11:48:10 UTC
I've started an email thread with the Infrant folks regarding this issue.
Comment 4 Chris Owens 2006-08-14 12:36:11 UTC
This is likely caused by the current release version of the Infrant OS shipping with Perl 5.6.1, which had very poor character set support.

Infrant's 3.0 beta versions ship with Perl 5.8.8, and fix this bug.

Has anyone tested this with RAIDiator 3.0?
Comment 6 Blackketter Dean 2006-09-16 16:56:54 UTC
Dan Evans: can you try this with the latest infrant software?
Comment 7 Blackketter Dean 2006-09-18 10:03:10 UTC
I assumed that Dan had an infrant to test on. was this something you saw or was it a customer reported issue?
Comment 8 Chris Owens 2006-10-10 14:29:44 UTC
This should be fixed with the latest RAIDiator software due to its updated perl version. Please reopen if you're still having problems.
