Bugzilla – Bug 3853
playing genre favorite plays songs in track order
Last modified: 2008-09-15 14:39:24 UTC
create a genre-based favorite. then play it. notice that all the songs tagged as track one play first, then the twos, etc...
SlimServer Version: 6.5b1 - 8751 - Mac OS X 10.4.7 (8J135) - EN - utf8 Via player/remote control I went to Browse Music -> Genres, then surfed down to a few Genres that contain songs. I held down the favorites button and it says 'Saving Favorites...'. Then I observed a very bizarre behavior. From the player/remote if I hit favorites and scroll to the newly created favorite and hit play, surprise it works perfectly! However when I go to the SlimServer web interface and click Favorites, and then hit the play arrow next to the very same newly created favorites, nothing happens.
Okay, so I also see the behavior Dean was noting and the behavior Ross is reporting. Ross, could I ask you to file a separate bug for the GUI issue? Dean, in what order do you feel the songs should play? Album order?
bug 3859.

Album order? Sorted by artist, then album, then track number, our standard sort order.
