Description Dan Evans 2006-07-28 14:02:59 UTC
(reference TMID 7033) From the customer:

I put ";" in 'Multiple Items in Tags' and edited the tag of mp3 files ..as follows:

genre "violin;concerto"
artist	"pearlman;karajan"
album "beethoven;mozart"

in squeezebox ( also in slimserver ), I found

genre
    violin
    concerto
artist
    pearlman
    karajan
album
    beethoven;mozart

= = = = =

I tested the same file and found the same results. (tested on 6.3.1 on Mac and XP, and also tested 6.5 on XP with CO) I'll attach the file here. (-dan evans)

This sounds like a duplicate of bug 2553 and/or bug 1776.

deffo a dupe.
however, while multiple tags isn't supported for albums, the description text is not currently reflecting this:

"SlimServer can extract multiple artist, album titles and genres from the tags inside your music files. If SlimServer finds any of the words or characters below in your tags, it will create individual listings for each item. For example, if you put a semicolon in the list below, a song with an artist tag of "J. S. Bach;Michael Tilson Thomas" will appear in the artists area for both "J. S. Bach" and "Michael Tilson Thomas". Changing this setting will start a rescan of your music library."
