If you have special characters in the filename of any playlist, e.g. Sven V�th, after scanning playlists the web interface - playlists will not shown these characters, but file details will.

Example:
real playlist name (on file system, shown in Explorer and Command Line):
Sven V�th --- Accident In Paradise.m3u

playlist name shown at Web Interfcae at Slimserver:
Sven V䴨 --- Accident In Paradise

This is working ok for me on OS X.

Could you zip up the playlist in question?

Also, please make sure you are using the latest nightly.

Here are some examples with German umlauts and Frensh characters.
I'm using Windows XP SP2 with NTFS!

You'll need to wipe & rescan.
