Description Paul-Christiaan Diks 2006-07-12 11:07:50 UTC
Wireless AP: Asus WL-520g
Firmware: 1.9.5.4
Mode: WPA-PSP TKIP

Squeezebox3

I used the above mentioned access point with a key with a length of 10 characters. The second character was a '@' sign and the last character was the '!'-sign. With this configuration I could not connect to the access point. After changing the WPA-PSP key to something without the @ and ! (changed both at the same time) I could connect again.

I have just had a quick look at this while testing a fix for another bug. With the linksys WRT54GS the '@' and '!' can be used in the WPA passphrase. Chris, do you have an Asus WL-520g to test with?
Comment 2 Chris Owens 2006-09-06 08:59:09 UTC
Nope. Perhaps if Paul-Christiaan is still interested he could have another look?
Comment 3 Chris Owens 2006-09-11 17:07:54 UTC
I should order one of these Asus units. Kevin tells me there are many user complaints involving them.

Chris to follow up.

All new Squeezebox products are likely to be based on the SqueezePlay platform.
We do not plan to implement any further enhancements to the ip3k firmware or
which are targeted specifically at ip3k-based products.
