Description Denny Page 2004-06-13 01:12:38 UTC
The windows GUI (desktop icon) takes a long time (60 seconds) to start with
nightly 2004-06-11 and 2004-06-12. I was previously using 2004-06-07, which
had the expected 2-3 second start time for the gui. The browser interface
(http://localhost:9000) still has 2-3 second start time.

Host OS is WinXP, fully patched. Slimserver is registered as a system
service. During testing, Slimserver (slim.exe) is fully initialized and
idle--no scaning, no active streams. During the 60 second interval, neither
slim.exe not SlimServer.exe are using CPU.

Fixed on 6/15. Turns out that the problem was a side effect of our fix to HTTP
keepalive.

This Slimserver bug was fixed a very long time ago, and is now being marked as Closed. If you're still experiencing this issue, please verify you are running a current version of Slimserver and re-open the bug.

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
