Description Matt Ruby 2006-07-01 07:51:16 UTC
I've been using SlimServer for years and this is the very first time an upgrade didn't go smoothly.

I followed my usual upgrade procedure: untar the downloaded file to /usr/local, delete the link to the old SlimServer directory, create a link to the new one, and then go to /etc/init.d and restart the daemon.

This time, though, I received a message that Slim/Utils/Misc.pm wasn't in @INC. Easy to fix, by adding 'use lib "/usr/local/SlimServer_v6.3.0"' to slimserver.pl, but only because I knew enough Perl to figure out what was happening. Would have been a show-stopper otherwise!

I didn't see any other bug like this and no one else in the forums seems to be having a problem (though I suspect the number of people using the tarball is small). Maybe it's assuming another install location by default?

Nonetheless, I am a super satisfied customer. Keep up the good work, guys! Thanks.
