With the new Softsqueeze 6.5, the Softsqueeze is always about 0.5 to 1 second late in comparison to the SB3. I have tested 6.5 and 6.3 against Slimserver revisions 8070 and 7475. On both revisions, 6.3 syncs fine and 6.5 does not.

The problem occurs with both, JLayer and Java MP3 plugin.

Hanno, do you mean softsqueeze 2.3 and 2.5 or slimserver 6.3 and 6.5. Thanks for clarifing.

Arrgh! Stupid me! Of course I meant Softsqueeze 2.3 and 2.5 both with Slimserver 6.3, revisions 8070 and 7475. Were 2.3 syncs fine with both and 2.5 has the delay.

The sync updates in Softsqueeze 2.3 had been regressed. This is fixed in Softsqueeze 2.7. This is now checked into svn, available on sourceforge and will be in the next nightly builds.

This bug fix is now part of a released version, and so has been marked closed. If you are still experiencing this problem, please reopen the bug.
