Description El Wimpo 2006-06-18 05:37:49 UTC
Platform: SlimServer Version: 6.3.0 - 8033 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252

If you go to your playlists directory and delete the playlist file and then have Slimserver delete the playlist via the UI (before it has had time to rescan the library, obvioulsy) Slimserver crashes.

leaving target blank for Chris's filters.
IS this a problem with 6.3 or 6.5?
Do you see anything in the Windows Event Viewer show any messages regarding the crash?
Comment 2 El Wimpo 2006-06-18 14:08:41 UTC
This is a problem in v 6.3.

I found this in the Event Viewer:

The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Can't call method "title" without a package or object reference at /PerlApp/Slim/Web/Pages.pm line 1178.

thanks. It seems I covered this problem in 6.5, but didn't realise it was in 6.3 as well. I've committed a fix in change 8050, which will appear in the next build.

Please try it out and let us know. I'l leave this open so Chris can have a review of it when he's back doing rounds.

Yes, it seems to work fine now.
Comment 5 KDF 2006-06-20 12:35:55 UTC
fixed yes, but changelog needs an entry for this. I left it out pending the confirmation which came this morning. will add an entry this evening.
