I noted that you show bug 2347 as resolved, but I just had the same problem with slimserver 6.3 (firmware v 50).  The playlists show in my external hard drive, but can't be recognized by the system (even after again rescanning just for playlists).

Jeff, did KDF's suggestion get you working?  Or are you still having problems with the playlists?

The directions in the FAQ posted by KDF look good to me.

The instructions sure do look good. Emailed Jeff, hopefully he'll get a chance to call me at support so I can walk him through it over the phone. I also emailed him another link with some useful information about UNC paths.
