Description Blackketter Dean 2004-06-03 09:29:58 UTC
(Sean thinks that this is a buffer pointer calculaton problme in the firmware.)

If using apple lossless, wav, or AIFF files, my wired squeezebox hiccups (about .5 second loss of sound)
a few seconds after selecting and playing a new song. It seems to be some kind of buffering problem.
If I am playing whole album, it doesn't do this at the beginning of each song.

just to be clear: i am not talking about a pause between songs, i mean that a song starts to play for 2
seconds or so...followup by a short break in the music...followed by the rest of the song playing as it
should.

This doesn't seem to happen for more compressed (ie, smaller) files.

Sean, can you take a look at this for 5.2?

This should be much better with the SlimServer 6.0 software.
