Bugzilla – Bug 3393
Request for slimserver browser title change
Last modified: 2008-09-15 14:38:25 UTC
From user: "Change the title of the slimserver web interface from "Welcome to SlimServer" to just "SlimServer" so the window is easier to identify on the taskbar in Windows. When I have a lot of windows open, I'll just see "Welcome to S" on the taskbar and it's easy to overlook when I'm trying to find the slimserver window."
refer to bug 636 for a similar earlier request
Dan, is your user satisfied with editing the slimserver-strings.txt file? Or is he or she requesting a change to the default?
I can cope w/ editing slimserver-strings.txt as a workaround but, generally speaking, I think my suggestion is useful for everyone. (In reply to comment #2) > Dan, is your user satisfied with editing the slimserver-strings.txt file? Or > is he or she requesting a change to the default? >
(In reply to comment #3) > I think my suggestion is useful for everyone. At the very least, it would be useful for at least two people. The guy in bug 636 had the exact same experience and reasoning that I did. We must represent 100s of users. :)
I think this would be a fine change to make.
