Description Dan Evans 2006-05-04 13:31:24 UTC
From user:
"Change the title of the slimserver web interface from "Welcome to SlimServer" to just "SlimServer" so the window is easier to identify on the taskbar in Windows. When I have a lot of windows open, I'll just see "Welcome to S" on the taskbar and it's easy to overlook when I'm trying to find the slimserver window."

refer to bug 636 for a similar earlier request

Dan, is your user satisfied with editing the slimserver-strings.txt file? Or is he or she requesting a change to the default?
Comment 3 Ahmon Dancy 2006-05-04 15:05:54 UTC
I can cope w/ editing slimserver-strings.txt as a workaround but, generally speaking,
I think my suggestion is useful for everyone.

At the very least, it would be useful for at least two people.
The guy in bug 636 had the exact same experience and reasoning that I did.
We must represent 100s of users. :)

I think this would be a fine change to make.
Comment 6 KDF 2006-05-07 12:27:07 UTC
committed to 6.3 at change 7326. This affects standard header only, and does not prevent skins from overriding if they have provided their own custom [% pagetitle %]

committed to 6.5 (trunk) for change 7327

changes in effect for May 8 builds.
