Description KDF 2006-05-03 09:38:56 UTC
I may have a case to explain the "can't start slimserver" in 6.2.2. I'll reinstall to see if this gets fixed, but the messages I get running from console shows a continual attempt to upgrade sql. log attached shortly.

uninstall, reinstall clears it up. I tried to capture d_sql output before uninstall, but the service had locked and could not be stopped (task manager refused) until it was uninstalled. restarting the pc, slim.exe would already be running by the time I could get task manager open, and it would refuse to halt the process yet again. sorry there isnt' more log output to work with.

KDF: Have you seen this since? dan fixed datamodel.pm for a similar issue, but that was before you reported this.

I haven't, but I have only tried once since to install 6.3 on a fresh system. I filed this as one example of the "slimserver starting...." problem. It was mentioned on other time in the forums, and I pointed them to this report hoping for comments. Apparently, it wasn't worth the time :) Can close if you like, and others can reopen if it crops up again.
