Bugzilla – Bug 3362
Live365 and session IDs
Last modified: 2008-09-15 14:38:25 UTC
If you create a playlist or a favorite of a Live365 stream, you can't play it again after a while because of the way Live365 tracks you with your session ID. It would improve user experiences significantly if we did not allow the saving of Live365 URLs that contain the SessionID= flag. This would apply with Squeezenetwork and SlimServer.
Fixed for 6.3 and 6.5. Still need to fix for SN.
This bug fix is now part of a released version, and so has been marked closed. If you are still experiencing this problem, please reopen the bug.
I believe I just ran into this bug with SlimServer Version: 6.5.1 - 11048 - RedHat - EN - utf8 ... Perl Version: 5.8.6 i386-linux-thread-multi MySQL Version: 5.0.21-standard ...I had saved a Live365 station in a Playlist, and when I tried to play it on my SB2, got the "session ID is invalid" recording. I used the Web UI to remove the sessionid query string info from the stream's Live365 URL, and that got me past the invalid session ID recording -- but the stream now has advertisements and is not recognizing my Live365 VIP account. As suggested in this forum post, I can get an ad-free VIP stream again by navigating to the Live365 menu under Internet Radio and seeking out the station again: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=16824 Thanks. (P.S. I tried to reopen the bug but Bugzilla won't let me.)
