Description Robin Rainton 2006-04-27 19:02:51 UTC
Just updated with the latest stable 6.2.2 slimserver (6.2.2 - 7135 - Linux - EN - utf8) and associated firmware.

I notice when a playlist is playing turning shuffle on/off causes the 'now playing' display on the squeezebox to update, but this is incorrect as the same track is continued.

Ie. 10 tracks in your playlist (let's call them T1-T10). Hit play, wait a while, let's say when T3 is coming out of your hi-fi you decide to shuffle things. Hit shuffle until 'Shuffle by song' is displayed.

T3 continues to play, but the now playing display will change to something random (like T8).

Looking at the slimserver page on your PC will also show that the server thinks T8 is playing even though it is not.

When T3 finishes and the next track starts things sync back up.

This happens in reverse when turning shuffle off (now playing incorrectly shows a new track even though the one playing at time of switch continues).

i can't seem to reproduce this with teh steps given. could this be another case of bug 2510?

Ah... it was sync'd at the time, but not playing random mix. Will check and see if this happens without the sync later.

To confirm, this only happens when my players (2 of them) are sync'd.

It happens when playing standard playlists (eg: browse genres, play one).

It also happens on random mix.
