Description Latchezar Hristov 2006-04-25 06:04:18 UTC
Hardware Platform: Kuro Box (standard)
Software Platform: Gentoo Linux
Kernel: 2.4.17
Perl Version: 5.8.7

Slimserver version reported against: 7087

./build-perl-modules.pl runs successfully.

When building the database, the log file reports the following on each file:

2006-04-25 00:15:35.3133 directory entry: file:///share/music/Al%20Di%20Meola/Kiss%20My%20Axe/2%20The%20Embrace.FLAC
2006-04-25 00:15:36.1845 ERROR: Couldn't open file: [/share/music/Al Di Meola/Kiss My Axe/2 The Embrace.FLAC] for reading: Bad file descriptor

The owner of the files is: slim:slimserver
The mode of the files is: 777

I have Samba access to the above folder - everything works perfectly - including writing.

I recompiled the Perl modules in the temp folder once again manually. No luck.

Moved back to the stable release - 6.2.1. Works like a charm.

If you need the status of my library files, please let me know and provide instructions.

Do you have MySQL running on that machine?

We aren't officially supporting the Kuro box in 6.5.

Marking as won't fix. You should ask the Unix forums for help.
