Description Mick 2006-04-22 03:38:08 UTC
I've noticed that each time I've updated the nightly recently (since the FW43 release) and re-start the service that a full rescan kicks off.

I'll wait for the current rescan to complete and cycle the service again to confirm that this happens at every re-start and not just after an upgrade.

I can verify this. Everytime, I restart the service, a full rescan starts.

When you say "full rescan' do you mean a wipe and rescan or just checking the modification dates on the files to make sure that nothing changed when the server was off? IT should be the latter which is relatively quick and shouldn't take long.

What's the behavior you are seeing?

I have slimserver running on a Linkstation and it takes more than 2 hours to scan my musicfolder every restart. Because of that I think it must be a full rescan, it always took that time to do a full rescan.
