Description Dan Evans 2006-04-14 15:34:25 UTC
Here is the e-mail from the user: (ticket 931)

I recently purchased 3 new SqueezeBox units from SlimDevices.
I have two units installed in my home, and gave one to my brother.

My brother's SqueezeBox was working fine his old Mac OSX PowerPC
system, but he "upgraded" to a new Intel based Mac OSX system, and now
the SqueezeBox isn't playing .ogg files. .mp3 and iTunes files appear
to play just fine. I suspect that oggdec or some flac executable is
missing for the Intel/Mac configuration. I think there are also
problems with some of the Internet Radio streams.

Here is my understanding on his present configuration:

New SqueezeBox, wired version
Slimserver 6.2.2 (from http://www.slimdevices.com/dev_nightly.html)
Dual Core iMac.

This just came in from the user:

It appears that the SlimServer 6.5b1 version has fixed the problems
with .ogg files on Max OSX Intel platforms.

This will be fixed in the next nightly.
