Description Kevin Pearsall 2006-04-04 15:04:59 UTC
Custom IR codesets are in fact IR files which you place under Slimserver\IR
folder
and then later choose which one to be active, according to the
remote-controls you wish to use. This is all working perfect with
Slimserver. But when switching to Squeezenetwork, for instance - to listen
to Pandora, the IR codes decoder switches as well and it's no longer
Slimserver which decodes them but the Squeezenetwork's one. However,
Squeezenetwork doesn't have an extensive configuration interface such as
Slimserver, and in particular there's no place where you can upload custom
IR codes files, such as placing them in the IR folder on slimserver.
Finally, we end up with a non-friendly solution which forces you to switch
remote-controls whenever you switch to Squeezenetwork; not good.
