Description Andre 2006-03-24 13:21:21 UTC
Folks,

I've just bought a SB3 and I've noticed that despite the amazing sound quality and simplicity there are some bugs that need fix. One of them is quite anoying. After my SB3 go sleeps it fail to reconnect to the SlimServer. It says it failed connect but when I connect to SqueezeNetwork and signoff it manages to connect to the SlimServer again.

Is anyone having also this problem?

Best regards

I enabled the debug and that's what I get...

2006-03-24 12:51:23.1553 Got discovery request, deviceid = 4, revision = 1.12, MAC = 00:04:20:06:52:d7
2006-03-24 12:51:23.1554 It's a squeezebox
2006-03-24 12:51:23.1555 calculated ILAFUCS length: 17
2006-03-24 12:51:23.1558 sent discovery response

it seems that the discovery is not reaching the squeezebox...

FW 28 is included with the official 6.2.1 release, but the nightly builds are now up to FW35. Have you tried the latest 6.2.2 nightly build?

cool... now the box doesn't work anymore. updated the firmware and the wireless network stoped working...

Please contact support@slimdevices.com for help in resolving your issue with your wireless.

Once you are connected back up, if you are still having the original problem, we'd need more details on the issue. When you say "goes to sleep" what do you mean? (The squeezebox never really sleeps, rather the server sometimes tells it to dim its screen...)

wireless problems is due the firmware upgrade. WPA2 support is broken. I changed my network to WPA using TKIP

What I mean by sleep? The SB3 stops displaying anything. And when I try to "power on" it tries to wake up the server, but the server is already running. Then I have two options:

* Unplug power cord and plug it back
* Connect to Squeezenetwork and then connect to SlimServer.

I did the upgrade to 6.2.2 today, upgraded the firmware. let's see if it happens again.

seems to be fixed on firmware 33
