Bugzilla – Bug 3154
unchecked songs in iTunes added to playlists after rescan
Last modified: 2008-09-15 14:38:10 UTC
It appears that songs unchecked in iTunes are added to SlimServer playlists after a scan for 'new and changed' music. The initial scan after 'clear library' does not add them. They show up as blank entries in the playlist. I have the option enabled to not add 'unchecked' tracks to SlimServer.
Added to which playlist? if you mean the current, how have you added them? What playlist is showing them as blank? Deleting checked iTunes tracks is a bit of an annoyance if you have multiple data sources. itunes alone should import fine, but if you then have music folder import, playlists that reference those files or musicmagic/moodlogic it becomes not so easy. It seems stupid to have to check with iTunes in each of the other importers, but that may be the only way to resolve such conflicts.
no, I mean a playlist scanned from iTunes, not the now-playing playlist. As an example. I have a 'played in the last week' playlist. In it are some tracks that are unchecked because I don't want them on my ipod. After the 'wipe library' rescan, this playlist is available in SlimServer, minus the unchecked tracks. So far so good. However after a 'check for changes' rescan, the unchecked tracks are visible as blank tracks in their respective positions in the playlist when using browse playlists. I have no other importers or a music folder scan.
right, I'm with ya now :) thanks.
Ok, I see what's going on. The logic that checks for the checkbox changing is off. I need a little bit of advice from dan and then I think I have a good fix.
Fixed for tonight's nightly in both the 6.2.2 and 6.5 versions. Please test and reopen if it's still happening.
