Description Les Smithson 2004-05-14 09:26:47 UTC
It would be useful to display a player's Wireless Signal strength on the
server/browser?

This would make it easier to line up WiFi antennas so that the player signal
strength is maximized when you can't see the player, but can see the server.

Standard browser reresh is 30s for the status section. putting it anywhere else
would require a manual refresh.
Comment 2 KDF 2004-05-15 12:48:30 UTC
committed to cvs. the strength is now viewable at the bottom of the player
settings page in the web interface. Will be in May 16 nightly build.

Is there any way to access the signal strength from the command line interface(
port 9090)?

Iv'e written a script to enunciate the signal strength through the festival
voice synth. This depends on screen scraping the player settings URL. This would
be more reliable if I could get it through a documented command line.

Thanks.

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
