Customer requested feature.  If you turn it on, and have the browse pane on in iTunes...  You can click 
a genre, then under artist there's a selection called 'Compilations' instead of a dozen artists that have 
tracks in a compilation in that genre.  Will attach screenshot made by Dean "Type R" Blackketter Esq.

sounds much like 163 and 288. worded differently, but they would seem to be the
same function.
