Thats definitely supported if you listen on the web; you can scroll back to previous songs on the flash UI to rate them.

However, from the squeezebox implementation, I can see how that might be a problem. Slimdevices develops that software so I'll forward your message along to them. I would imagine it could get confusing from a UI point of view, but they are very clever folks, so I'm sure they could come up with something.
