As per customer interaction / forum:
------------------------------------
Yes, that is what I'm suggesting. I think it makes sense since that is what you guys
are already doing for oggdec, which was replaced by sox (see link to Dan Sully post).

From this posting, it appears that you guys bundle linkstation binaries:
http://lists.slimdevices.com/archives/discuss/2004-November/ 037679.html

P.S. The sox binary is behaving nicely. There are no extra sox processing lying around.

------------------------------------

Last night, I discovered the Debian patch, which solves an EOF problem.
I manually applied the patch. I didn't get to use the SB3 much last night.

From this posting, it appears that you guys bundle linkstation binaries:

The reference to the Debian conversation:

The fix was to include a custom sox binary for Windows in the slimserver package.

Since oggdec is no longer used by slimserver, do you think you can have a patched
ox binary included instead?

You can grab the sox sources + patches from:

http://svn.slimdevices.com/*checkout*/vendor/src/sox-12.17.9-sdi.tar.bz2

and compile it yourself..

Unfortunatly my linkstation is dead, and we're not officially supporting it.
