Description paul fox 2006-02-23 12:27:48 UTC
it was suggested that i file on this, after i broached the topic on the mailing list. this is really a feature
request, not a bug.

there are tracks in my collection that i (almost) never want to hear. these might be voice-only intro segments on live concert recordings, or alternate takes that are repetitious, or simply tracks which i really do not like very much.

there should be a way to tell slimserver _never_ to select these tracks unless told explicitly to play them. i.e., if i select by genre, or artist, or even by the album in which they're contained, i do _not_ want those tracks to be played. they should play only if i browse to the track level and select them. (i guess they should play if named explicitly in a playlist, but not if only the album of which they're a part is referenced.)

Dean would like to consider this idea for the future.

Unassigned bugs cannot have a priority.
