Description Jeff Shanholtz 2004-05-08 15:25:36 UTC
If I browse to a genre or a folder with a LOT of songs in it and press play,
the SLIMP3 *seems* to hang for several seconds as it is building the playlist.
In single-height mode you get a little animation at the end of the 1st line
indicating that it's busy, but in double-height mode you get nothing. You're
left wondering if the SLIMP3 detected the command from the remote or not.

Any time the slimserver displays that "busy" animation, it should put it on
the second line if in double-height mode (not sure if it is used in other
cases too).

Related to bug 101 (https://bugs-archive.lyrion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101), but not
quite a duplicate. In general, it's possible for important interaction feedback
to be lost in double-height mode.

I patched the 6.0 builds a while back to show the spinning cursor while in large
text mode. This solves 1/2 of the problem as there is at least now some
animation to show activity. The other part would be to move "now playing
from..." into something that fits into one short line.

Adrian,
I believe your proposed single-line UI patch covers this one?

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
