Description michael 2004-05-05 13:14:02 UTC
A recent feature added to slimserver allows splitting a tag with multiple
artists into their component artists, using any specified character as the
delimiter. I did notice however that it breaks sorting by the "sort order" tags.

For example, I have an album by "Alan Moore & Tim Perkins". The
sort order tag for this (TSOP in id3 vernacular) is listed as
"Moore, Alan & Perkins, Tim". Without the splitting tags feature, this
shows up under "M" (as artist "Alan Moore & Tim Perkins"). With tag
splitting, I have two artist listings (one for Alan Moore and a
separate one for Tim Perkins) as expected, but they appear under "A"
and "T" respectively. It be really cool if the sort order tags were
split the same as the tag they shadow.

Michael - I've fixed this in svn change 1822 on the 6.0 tree.

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
