Bugzilla – Bug 2933
RSS Feeds Cause Now Playing Information to Stop Updating
Last modified: 2008-12-15 11:57:59 UTC
Browsing RSS Feeds on my Squeezebox 3 while playing music (from a directory) causes the Now Playing information on both the Slimserver web page and the SB to stick at current track. As the tracks change the track playing when the RSS feeds were read continues to be displayed. Updates can be restored by changing the playlist which causes normal behaviour to resume.
It transpires that other activity can cause this to happen. I was just browsing the library on the SB3 and it occured there. I am not transcoding any files all my files are native FLAC and I have no invalid files in my library.
This could be the same problem or a related problem to #1329 but it's not being caused by malformed files in this case.
Sorry I mean related to #2510 in my post above!
do you really mean 6.2.0? IF so, please update to nightly and try that. There have been bugs like this fixed in the past.

Would you be able to check this with 6.2.2 builds? I have tried with 6.5 and I am unable to reproduce; web and player update during rss reading and browsing, even using rss screensaver. How are you returning to the now playing display on the player, navigating or now playing button?
Russell: is this still an issue in 6.2.2?
I couldn't repro this bug with 6.2.2. Please reopen it if it's a problem.
This bug has been fixed in the latest release of SqueezeCenter! Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html if you haven't already. If you are still experiencing this problem, feel free to reopen the bug with your new comments and we'll have another look.
