Description mikael 2006-02-02 13:03:21 UTC
I would like to see a setting in the SlimServer to show only the largest file when there are several files with exactly the same name, in the same directory, but with different extensions.

The most straightforward example is when I have some of my music as FLAC. I will use a FLAC2MP3 converter for all files. Creating duplicates for all FLACs. The MP3s will be used for other devices, such as portable MP3 players.

But I do not want to have both the FLAC and the MP3 to show up when i search or browse for music, if both exist! Only the FLAC should then be shown.

Simplest way would be to add a checkbox with the text: "Only show largest file when duplicate is found"

One optional improvement would be to use the smaller bandwidth MP3 when the maximum bandwidth to a certain SB have been selected. No CPU consuming realtime conversion to MP3 is then needed.
