Description Ron Thigpen 2004-05-03 08:22:35 UTC
Currently the SqueezeBox user interface does not offer an indication of the
stream type being played. It would be nice to be able to see whether the SB was
currently playing an MP3 or PCM stream.

A simple, 3 char ("MP3"/"PCM") indication would be sufficient. It might even be
compressed further with a choice of iconic chars for each.

This would be an aid to debugging as well as a way to confirm that playback
configs are as intended. This would seem to be a good fit for placement in
either/or "Settings" and "Now Playing".

the Web UI now shows the playback bitrate in the status pane. Player UI really
doesnt have much room in the now playing screen. However, going into track info
will show the bitrate of the file, and for the currently playing song, it will
display the playback bitrate if it is being converted.
