Dan's got the server running on the intel macs, but the preference pane is still broken.  You can start the server by hand in Terminal with:

cd /Library/PreferencePanes/SlimServer.prefPane/Contents/server
./slimserver.pl

If you've installed SlimServer for just a single user, use this:

cd /Library/PreferencePanes/SlimServer.prefPane/Contents/server
./slimserver.pl

Dan's working hard on the prefpane so it shouldn't be too long now before the nightlies are working normally...

Fixed in change 5855.

The 2006-01-27 dmg will be Universal.
