Description Blackketter Dean 2004-04-30 15:13:41 UTC
There should be some indication to the user that the file isn't playable.
Comment 1 Rich Siegel 2004-04-30 15:18:44 UTC
Feedback possibilities include (in increasing order of desirability): meaningful message logged to
console/syslogd, message displayed in Web interface, message displayed on player.
Comment 2 KDF 2004-05-04 22:35:24 UTC
the player should display a message, unless its been bypassed recently.

There is no facility to use syslog, but the server will output to the slimserver
log IF d_source debugging is enabled.
Comment 3 KDF 2004-05-12 00:43:10 UTC
The server settings for builds following May 8, 2004 will show the file types
disabled if the transcoding cannot be done. If the file fails to open, there is
a player ui message displayed.
Comment 4 Chris Owens 2008-10-02 15:03:25 UTC
Long list of versions is confusing for new bug filers.
Comment 5 Chris Owens 2008-12-18 11:50:39 UTC
Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
