Description Chris 2006-01-19 15:53:13 UTC
I've just updated to svn 5717, and SlimServer now crashes at startup, deleting my slimserver.pref file in the process....

My setup uses ActiveState Perl 5.8.7 build 815, running on Windows XP. It crashes with the following error message:

"Perl Command Line Interpreter has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience".

The error report gives the following:

Error signature
AppName: perl.exe
AppVer: 5.8.7.815
ModName: syck.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0
Offset: 00008710

It looks to me like there's a problem with the new file syck.dll, which was added in svn 5711.

I believe this was reverted, so it should be ok. leaving open as a placeholder for when syck comes back, unless Dan feels it's a done issue

I'm done with this for now.
