Description Michael Wagner 2006-01-02 06:27:33 UTC
Only recently in 6.2.2, browsing an album at the web interface results in them being presented in alphabetical order by Artist name, rather than the more intuitive order that they are recorded on the album.

I'm currently running 5448

any chance you know how recently? a week, two? would help me narrow it down, since I don't use 6.2

Sorry, no. I only noticed it when someone complained on the referenced thread, and I went to check it out on my machine.

Since I hadn't noticed it before they pointed it out, I can't say if I hadn't noticed it for days or weeks.

I have 6.2.1 on my laptop at home. I can try to check this evening if it happens there too. Still leaves a lot of ground to cover, though. Sorry I can't be of more help.

remove multialbumsortkey from album track ordering

This clears up the problem. using the sorting from 6.5, and removing multialbumsortkey from 6.2.2 data model does the trick.

the above patch committed to branch at change 5505, and will be included in Jan 3 nightly build. I'm marking as fixed becuase my copy of 6.2.2 now sorts correctly. Please feel free to reopen if other setups are not corrected. Rescan should not be needed for this to work.
