Description Kevin Pearsall 2005-12-29 17:39:40 UTC
They're missing several items that you see in SlimServer's player settings, like the brightness values for different modes, etc. possibly others. customer reported:

Hello. Both units are connected to Squeezenetwork. They both play the same 24 favorites I've saved, and both register as having the same settings I've chosen when I check them under "Screensaver when playing" and "Screensaver when idle," but when the second unit is on, it shows the VU meter. (The first shows just what I want, only the station name from the favorites list and the single musical note meaning that the unit is playing.) I have "None" chosen as the screensaver settings for both units, which appears to give me what I want for the first unit, but not the second.

Also, the second unit doesn't dim after beginning to play the station I want to hear or dim the clock when off; how can I change these to match the first unit?

Kevin can you prioritize the additional settings that need to be added to the Prefs form?

this report is confusing. It sounds like the visualizer settings are not being respected for each player.

the brightness issue I can't reproduce. Use the brightness button to adjust the brightness for idle, active and off at the time the player is in that state.

we could add a web setting for the brightness items, but I'd mark that lower priority and file a separate bug.

I believe that there is a separate bug filed for fixed digital outputs and preamp out for SN, which is definitely higher priority.

Digital out is done. There's no request for preamp but you're right that's probably an important one.
