Description Jess Garms 2005-12-06 11:54:19 UTC
I've checked the Use iTunes checkbox under server settings, and re-scanned my music collection, but none of my iTunes playlists show up on the slim server.

My iTunes music collection is my F: drive, while iTunes is installed on my C: drive. Not sure if that makes any difference.

I'm using the 12-06-05 nightly of 6.5b1. I've also tried 6.2.1, but both exhibited the same behavior.

Thanks!

if your F: drive is a mapped network drive, then you should have a look at:

Thanks for the info. My F: drive is an external USB drive, not a network drive.

But that caused me to consider: is there a log I should look in to see if there were errors during scanning? Perhaps it's looking on the F: drive for my Library.xml file or the like?

I see this same problem using Mac OS X 10.4.3. My iTunes library is installed in the default location. I am using SlimServer 6.2.2, though the problem also occurred with SlimServer 6.2.1.

My music library consists of 10,193 items, or 88.10 Gb of data. The 'iTunes Music Library.xml' file is 16.5Mb.

My playlists consist of a combination of smart and 'dumb' playlists. Some playlists contain video files, though most do not. Some playlists contain some purchased music, though most do not.

This is a show stopper. I just purchased the device that was advertised to work with iTunes. If not fixed, I plan to return immediately!

I am having a similar problem...probably the same bug. I can not get the itunes playlists to scan with any of the slimserver settings, automatic or manual path description. My music folder is on the same drive as slimserver and itunes, but it is not the standard itunes path for the music library...changed it using the itunes advanced setting.

I've checked in a number of fixes to iTunes scanning for tonight's 6.2.2 and 6.5/trunk builds. Please install those and do a wipe and rescan of your music library. If you are still having problems, please reopen the bug with details.

That did the trick! My iTunes playlists now show up. Thanks!
