Description Neil Catley 2005-11-30 00:51:35 UTC
At night I have the display dimmed to blank whilst I stream a talk radio station.
If there are issues and the connection to the slimserver is lost, the display brightens right up to tell me that the SB2 cannot connect to the server.
Can a setting be added that allows the SB to keep the brightness the same OR go to full brightness ??
Happened last night I woke me up!
This would have to be done in the firmware as, by definition, the SB will have lost connection to the server.

6.2.1 is not a valid target, since it is already out. changing to blank to flag it for review.

The bright light is an additional warning. Maybe an alternative would be to maintain high brightness for a certain time, and then switch to regular brightness?

The soon-to-be released version 6.2.2 of slimserver with new firmware now simply blanks the screen when a disconnect happens. The screen will come back on (full brightness) if the user uses the remote. This is a reasonable compromise.

Agreed - I'd be happy with that approach. Thanks.
