Please attach a file that has this issue. Thanks.

Alex - have you tried with the 6.2.2 nightlies? It works fine for me: Title: Introduction Artist: J K Rowling Album: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Disc 1 of 7) Genre: Audio Book Disc: 1 Track: 1 File Format: MP3 Duration: 0:22 Year: 1999 File Length: 185,242 Bytes Bitrate: 64kbps CBR Sample Rate: 22.1 kHz ID3 Tag Version: ID3v1.1 / ID3v2.3.0 Location: /Users/dsully/test-collection/music/bugs/bug2627/bug2627.mp3 (Download) Date Modified: Tuesday, November 29, 2005, 5:58:25 PM
Sorry. I only experienced the problem on 6.2.1. I am back now on your 6.5b1 release. I have not yet had a complete scan of my library yet to test it out. (It keeps crashing on me.) I try it with every day's cut. I'll try to confirm. Thanks.
Thanks. What is the crash you have? Check the Windows Event Viewer.
During a scan: Can't use string ("image/jpg $") as a HASH ref while "strict refs" in use at C:/Program Files/SlimServer/server/Slim/Formats/MP3.pm line 183. And, sometimes, unrelated to a scan: Can't use string ("title") as an ARRAY ref while "strict refs" in use at /PerlApp/Slim/Buttons/PodcastBrowser.pm line 724.
For the first - do you know which file that's happening on? If so, could you upload it? For the second - does it happen when you are browsing Slim Picks? Or Podcasts? Or something else?
Error 1 - have not found the file yet. Error 2 - occurs while playing podcasts. I'll open up separate bugs to keep the issues trackable?
We can use this bug.. I'll retitle. For 1) - Try running from the command prompt with: slim.exe --d_scan
My appologies. I did not read this in time. I entered item 1 as bug 2659. Lets leave this one open for bug 2 I mentioned above. Thanks.
I'm lost here. What is this bug for now? Have we located the file, and section of the d_scan log?
Bug 2659 for the scan problem Bug 2676 for the playing a podcast Let's leave this bug and associated with the following problem related to playing streams. Error 1: Can't locate object method "contentType" via package "Slim::Player::Protocols::MMS" at /PerlApp/Slim/Player/Source.pm line 1132. Error 2: Can't use string ("Slim::Player::Protocols::MMS") as a symbol ref while "strict refs" in use at C:/Program Files/SlimServer/server/Slim/Player/Protocols/MMS.pm line 199. To duplicate: Play some of the Slim Device's picks for Hong Kong.
What version of SlimServer are you running at this point? Please make sure you're using the latest nightly build. Thanks.
The bugs mentioned above happen with the 2005-12-08 build of 6.5.
ok, looks like we need some focus. relabelling this oe for the recently mentioned Error1 and Error2. and marking with the version with which they occur. Hopefully the other two bugs are taking care of all the other bits and pieces thrown in here.
reported again in forums using the following: mms://ccdig.liquidviewer.com/indie103
Alex, Re Error 1 on 6.5 - were you playing this stream on a non SB2/SB3 player? If so could you retry with the latest 6.5 as I added something to make wma streaming work for non SB2/SB3 players yesterday and it looked similar to your Error 1.
After the download location comes back on line, I'll give it a try. Error: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /downloads/nightly/latest/6.5/ on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
The problem is gone. Thanks. While playing the specified stream, the following (probably) unrelated error is displayed: Undefined string: MMS requested language: EN failsafe language: EN
Alex - I don't see this. Can you confirm how you are starting the stream? Do you still see Error 2?
Error 2 does not occur either. I have been unable to consistently duplicate the additional error. The stream is selected via SoftSqueeze > Internet Radio > Slim Devices Picks > By City > Hong Kong, HK > RTHK Radio 1 | talk > (mms://202.177.192.108/radio1) I guess we can now close this problem. If I am able to duplicate this further, I will let you know. Thanks for your help.
