Description Neil Sleightholm 2005-11-18 09:51:51 UTC
I am trying to play some of the BBC podcasts and some of them don't work. As an example, "The Best of Moyles" - "http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/rmhttp/downloadtrial/radio1/bestofmoyles/rss.xml". If I extract the stream mp3 address and plug it in to the "Radio Tune In" it plays ok. More examples can be found at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/downloadtrial/subscribe.shtml

This works for me with the latest build of 6.2.2

i had a crash with 6.5b1, but fixed that earlier tonight.

do you have d_remotestream logs for when it fails? What kind of problems do you have with it?

I didn't test this very well, it turns out it only fails with SoftSqueeze. I have reclassified the bug and attached a trace file.
Comment 4 Adrian Smith 2005-11-22 03:23:36 UTC
Looks to me that softsqueeze doesn't like the streams:

Neither produces any sound...
Comment 5 Dan Sully 2005-11-22 15:51:00 UTC
Re-assigning to Richard, as this appears to be a SoftSqueeze problem.
Comment 6 Richard Titmuss 2006-04-24 13:37:48 UTC
This will be fixed when slimprotolib is integrated into Softsqueeze.
Comment 7 Dan Sully 2006-07-23 18:04:01 UTC
Richard - has slimprotolib been integrated?
