Bugzilla – Bug 257
sound ends early when 2 SB sync'd and shuffled
Last modified: 2011-03-16 04:18:45 UTC
I have two SB's (just got my third while writing this) and the sync is working quite well - syncs immediately and is staying in sync all day:-). The only problem is that tracks are ending abruptly before they are finished and then goes to the next track (I am in shuffle by song mode). This doesn't happen when only one SB is playing, nor does it happen if shuffle is off. I am using the 4/13 build, G4 AGP / Powerlogix 1GHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, OS X 10.3.3. Julius P.S. one little thing I noticed: when first initiating sync, the remaining time display doesn't update on either SB until a track change.
I made a slight mistake:-( The songs are notbeing cut off, some music is replayed before an abrupt track change. Sorry. ALthough when I was switching between shuffle and continuous modes, the artifact only happened in shuffle mode. After being annoyed too much, I switched to no shuffle, but the problem eventually happened again, so it doesn't seem to be shuffle related. Julius
What version of firmware and server software are you using?
version 5.1.2 with the 4/13 build. Sorry I didn't include this info, but I thought the 4/13 build defined the server software version, doesn't it?
Just as an update: as of the 4/26 nightly build, SS v5.1.6, in sync mode the last bit of a track is repeated at the end of each track before beginning the next.
Vidur, is this still an issue?
Does not appear to still be an issue. If you can reproduce, please reopen the bug.
