instead, the playback just stops.

missing means that the file cannot be opened...  It should just skip over to the next song.

I tested this in 6.3 by creating a playlist with tracks on a network share followed by local tracks.  Disconnected the network share and played the playlist.  All network share tracks were properly skipped and the first local track played.  Reassigning to Chris to try to reproduce.

This should be fixed now, from my reading of the code.

Please reopen if it's not.
